About Home Care Roadmap
Arranging care for someone you love is stressful, and it often happens in a hurry. We built Home Care Roadmap to make the first steps clearer.
What we do
- Plain-language guides. We explain the types of home care, what Medicare and other programs may cover, and how to choose an agency.
- A simple way to reach local agencies. If you ask us to, we share your request with up to 3 agencies that serve your area.
What we don’t do
- We are not a home care agency and we don’t provide medical care.
- We are not a government website and we’re not affiliated with Medicare or CMS.
- We don’t give medical, legal, or financial advice.
How we make money
Our guides are free for families. Home care agencies may pay to receive family requests through our service. Agency pricing is flat and set in advance; it never depends on whether a family chooses an agency or on any insurance billing. If we ever offer paid placement, we’ll label it clearly.
Our editorial standards
- We rely on official sources such as Medicare.gov, CMS.gov, Medicaid.gov, VA.gov, and state agencies, and we link to them.
- Every guide shows the date it was last reviewed.
- We don’t publish made-up statistics, testimonials, or prices.
- Agencies cannot pay to change our editorial content.
Our news coverage
- News stories are written by HomeCareRoadmap Staff and summarize reporting and documents from official and reputable sources, which we link in a Sources box on every story.
- We don’t invent quotes, facts or numbers. Quotes are attributed to the person and the outlet or document they came from.
- Each story explains what the news means for families and for agencies. That explainer is general information, not advice.
- Our newsroom pages carry no advertising pixels.
